About the author

Gary is Head of Regional Development at Muscular Dystrophy UK responsible for the UK-wide community fundraising and supporter services functions. He joined the charity in 2009 and has significantly grown the department's income and supporter base. He has experience developing volunteer fundraising at Cancer Research UK and the National Autistic Society. Gary is also the Vice-Chair of the Institute of Fundraising in Scotland, Chair of the Scottish fundraising conference and a member of the Rogare advisory panel.
