About the author

Helen Trenchard is a fundraising strategist, trainer and interim leader, supporting a range of organisations to grow income.  She has a specialism in Community Fundraising. 

Helen worked at Cancer Research UK for 10 years, across Race for Life, Volunteer Fundraising and a record-breaking £100 million capital appeal.  In 2011, Helen moved to Nairobi for a year to take up a VSO placement with Kenya Union of the Blind as a Resource Mobilisation Advisor.

Having held senior fundraising roles at Sue Ryder and Alzheimer’s Research UK, she is currently Interim Head of Fundraising Strategy at British Red Cross.  You can find Helen on Twitter @helentrenchard.
