It’s Valentine’s Day. And you might think Valentine’s Day is a bit of a gimmick. But here at SOFII, we’re celebrating because... we love fundraising.

There, we’ve said it.

We are not afraid to shout our love from the rooftops. We will, literally, tell anyone who will listen that we love helping fundraisers raise money for good causes!

Luckily, we know some other people who love helping fundraisers too. To be fair, they don’t flaunt it as much as we do. They quietly show their affection through kind, caring actions and… we think they are pretty special.

They are called the SOFII One Hundred. You can meet them all here.

On our recognition page you can see everyone in the SOFII One Hundred. Many have also shared why they give. Hover over the photo to read their quote. ©SOFII

This group of supportive, generous people have come together to help other fundraisers.

Not just on Valentine’s Day though. They give to SOFII monthly so we can offer fundraisers free access to innovative ideas and inspiration – regardless of organisational budgets, location or circumstances.

The SOFII One Hundred come from all around the world.

Each person is at a different point in their career and has a unique reason for being part of the community. But they have one thing in common – they all want to help others deliver quality fundraising campaigns for the causes that are close to their hearts.

Right now we have 31 kind individuals in the SOFII One Hundred. Ultimately, we’d love to grow to 100 donors (the clue’s in the name 😉).

Of course, 100 is only our starting point.

Your kindness will mean we can grow into a larger community of caring fundraisers – all celebrating success, all sustaining SOFII, all creating campaigns that make the world a better place.

So, will you join the SOFII One Hundred today?

Being part of this community is a chance to shape the future of fundraising.

You’ll give your fellow fundraisers the courage to innovate. You’ll help them as they learn from past lessons and embrace the foundations of great fundraising. You’ll let them build on the shoulders of the pioneers and share their successes back to SOFII and inspire the next generation.

If you love fundraising as much as we do, and want to share that love, please consider joining the SOFII One Hundred by setting up a regular gift to SOFII today.

Of course, you will also want to discover what we can offer you in return for your kindness.

Spoiler alert: you will definitely get one of our cool SOFII One Hundred pin badges and a beautiful print of the Treehouse of Knowledge/34 Foundations of Fundraising. We’ve given you a sneak peek of those below!

If you would like to find out more about the SOFII One Hundred, please email lynda@sofii.org to set up a chat. And if you already know you want to get involved, that’s wonderful – you can sign up here.

Our wise friend Lisa Sargent once said:

‘Gratitude is the single greatest force in the world, next to love... and no one does it better than SOFII. SOFII is and forever will be worth shouting about from the rooftops, in my opinion. It is my favourite fundraising resource in all the galaxy!

So before we go, it is only right and proper that we take this opportunity to let you how much we appreciate YOU.

Thank you so much for your love of fundraising. And thank you for your love for SOFII. We simply wouldn’t be here, helping fundraisers be their best, without you.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

El sourcing en la cooperación: cómo ser una organización local visible y atractiva para financiadores

En la cooperación internacional y la filantropía, solemos pensar que son las organizaciones sociales las que buscan y compiten por acceder a fondos.
