What new promise will you make to donors?
The Commission on the Donor Experience was formed in March 2016 in response to media scrutiny of fundraising practice. At its heart was one simple ideal – to place donors at the centre of fundraising.
The Commission has brought together the results of extensive research of donors' experiences - good and bad - along with the insight and experience of more than 1,000 people from across the voluntary sector, to create a vast body of invaluable resources that includes 28 projects, 526 ideas for change and 250 case histories.
Some of the best practitioners, authors and thinkers in the sector have all contributed to one aim: to transform the culture of fundraising to a truly donor-centric approach to raising money.
Sir Martyn Lewis CBE, Chair of the Commission said,
'For the first, time, the charity sector has come together in force to demonstrate its commitment to donors. Our report is richer in content than any previous study and as a result sets the stage for many years to come.'
Stop thinking about your needs and just adhering to new regulations and start thinking about what motivates and inspires your donors. And then inspire positive change within your organisation to raise more for your cause.
