It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Jerold Panas, one of the giants of fundraising. An exceptional writer, Jerold wrote a number of books on fundraising, including the best-selling Asking and Mega Gifts. He was also a popular public speaker and regular contributor to industry journals and magazines.
As well as heading one of the most successful agencies in the sector, Linzy & Partners, Jerold also founded and chaired the Institute for Charitable Giving.

Ken Burnett wrote at the time we launched the series:
‘Jerold Panas is a long-time hero of mine, ever since I saw him at my first ever AFP (then NSFRE) conference in San Francisco back in the early 1990s. He is a great writer and has authored many influential, even seminal, books. I quote him all the time in my seminars.’
Our thoughts are with Jerold's family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.
